Leading the Future of Biological Protection

Multi-species probiotic technology that protects fresh produce naturally — preserving crops from field to fork, without synthetic residue.

The Challenge

Fresh produce is lost long before it reaches the table

Post-harvest loss is one of agriculture's most persistent and costly problems. Fungal decay, tightening chemical regulation, and rising consumer demand for residue-free food are converging — and the industry needs a biological answer.

Reducing post-harvest loss is a direct contributor to UN Sustainable Development Goal 2 — Zero Hunger — by protecting food already grown from ever reaching a landfill.

Overview & Vision

Ducura - To lead, with care.

What Ducura means

Duco
Latin for "to lead" — pioneering a new category of crop protection.
Cura
Latin for "care" — for growers, consumers, and the produce itself.

Our Vision

A unified probiotic microbiome platform that safeguards fresh produce from field to fork

Our Mission

To develop novel multi-species probiotic solutions that deliver sustainable, residue-free crop protection

Technology

Microbiome engineering

Ducura's platform combines Bacillus bacteria with probiotic yeast partners into a single, synergistic consortium — engineered to outcompete and suppress the pathogens responsible for post-harvest decay, without synthetic chemistry.

  • Competitive Exclusion

The consortium rapidly colonizes the fruit surface, physically and nutritionally out-competing decay-causing pathogens before they can establish.

  • Bio-Active Defense

Bacillus and yeast partners produce natural antimicrobial compounds that actively suppress pathogen growth at the site of infection.

  • Microbiome Rebalancing

The treatment restores a healthy, diverse surface microbiome on the produce — building resilience that persists through storage and transport.
